Essendon has an excellent tram network along with decent walkability and cafes. It doesn’t rank terribly in any of the assessed categories, but scores only averagely across many such as education and congestion. Its worst score is for open space where it ranks 211th out of 307.

Essendon is located 8 km north-west of the CBD, and bounded by Moonee Ponds Creek in the east.
